We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother or sister who is seeking healing and restoration of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You open the eyes of the blind and bring light to those who sit in darkness (Isaiah 42:7). We stand on Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that healing is already accomplished through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Lord, we ask You to touch this precious one’s eyes with Your healing hand. Restore what has been damaged, strengthen what is weak, and bring clarity where there is blurriness or distortion. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or fear that may be trying to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak life and wholeness over these eyes in the mighty name of Jesus.
We also pray for patience and trust in this season of recovery. Help this child of God to rest in Your sovereignty, knowing that Your plans are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). May they find comfort in Your presence, even as they wait for full restoration. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their heart, we ask You to reveal it, Lord, so that nothing may hinder their healing. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray for a spirit of repentance and humility, that they may walk in full fellowship with You.
Father, we thank You for the skill and wisdom You have given to the doctors and medical professionals involved in this surgery. We ask that You continue to guide their hands and minds as they care for this individual. May Your healing power flow through every treatment, every medication, and every moment of recovery.
We declare that this trial will not be in vain. Use this time to draw this beloved one closer to You, to deepen their faith, and to strengthen their trust in Your unfailing love. May they emerge from this season with a testimony of Your goodness and a renewed vision—not just for their physical eyes, but for their spiritual eyes as well. Open their eyes to see the wonders of Your law (Psalm 119:18) and to walk in the light of Your truth.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
