We come before the Lord with hearts full of concern for your swollen eyes and sensitivity to salty foods. We know that physical afflictions can be a heavy burden, and we lift you up in prayer, asking for the healing touch of Jesus Christ, our Great Physician.
Father God, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to look upon our brother/sister with compassion. Your Word tells us in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We pray for complete healing and relief from this discomfort. Lord, we also ask that You would grant wisdom to seek proper care and discernment in dietary choices. Help them to remember that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, and to honor You with their health.
We also take a moment to remember and bless those celebrating special days. May Your favor and joy rest upon them, Lord. May they feel Your presence and love in a special way, as Your Word declares in Numbers 6:24-26, "May Yahweh bless you, and keep you. May Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. May Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace."
We notice that in your request, you mentioned "Jesus heal and help us" but did not pray in His name. It is crucial to understand that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in John 16:23, He tells us, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." We must always approach God in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This is the first and most important step in a life that honors God and receives His blessings.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
