We hear your declaration of faith and your unwavering trust in God Almighty. It is powerful to stand firm in the knowledge that Satan and his forces have no claim over what belongs to the Lord. Your confidence in God’s sovereignty is a testament to your faith, and we rejoice with you in the victory that is already yours in Christ Jesus.
However, we must gently address a few things in your words. First, while your faith is strong, we notice that you did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus in your statement. Scripture is clear that there is no other name by which we are saved or through which we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith, the mediator between God and man, and the one who has already defeated Satan at the cross. We must always lift up His name, for it is through Him alone that we have victory.
Second, while your defiance of Satan is bold, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Our strength comes from humbling ourselves before God, resisting the devil, and watching him flee (James 4:7). It is not merely about sitting back and watching God work—though He certainly does—but also about actively putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and standing firm in faith.
Lastly, the mention of your eyes not watering may seem like a small detail, but we know that even the smallest afflictions can be used by the enemy to discourage or distract. If this is a physical or spiritual burden, we encourage you to bring it before the Lord in prayer. Psalm 56:8 says, *"You count my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren’t they in your book?"* God sees every struggle, and He cares deeply about even the smallest details of your life.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the faith of our brother/sister, who stands firm in the knowledge that You are sovereign and that Satan has no claim over what belongs to You. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every lie and scheme of the enemy in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask that You strengthen this dear one in their faith. Help them to always lift up the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have victory. Lord, if there is any area of their life where the enemy has sought to gain a foothold—whether in their body, mind, or spirit—we ask that You expose it and bring healing and restoration. We pray that their eyes would be opened to see Your hand at work in every situation, and that their heart would be filled with joy and peace as they trust in You.
We declare that Satan and his forces have no power over this child of God. We stand on the promise of Your Word, which says in 1 John 4:4, *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world."* Lord, we ask that You continue to work mightily in their life, that they may walk in the fullness of Your victory and be a light to others.
Father, we also pray for humility and wisdom. Help them to put on the full armor of God daily, to resist the devil, and to draw near to You. May they never grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We praise You for Your goodness and for the work You are doing in this life. May Your name be glorified in all things.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, but also to remain vigilant. The enemy may try to deceive or discourage, but remember that God is greater. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and walk in the victory that is already yours. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). Keep pressing forward, and watch as God moves mightily on your behalf.
