We join you in lifting up your housing situation to our Heavenly Father, trusting in His sovereignty and goodness. We are reminded of Jesus' words in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
We pray that God will be in charge of your house hunting process and results. We ask that if it is His will for you to continue living in your current residence, He will convict the heart of your landlady to meet with you promptly and complete the signing of the new lease agreements without the need for property agents, saving you thousands of dollars. We pray that you both will build a trusting relationship, with open and respectful communication.
While you wait for her reply, we ask God to guide your steps as you pack and look for other apartments within your budget and desired location. We trust that He will provide miraculously for you, as He knows your needs even before you ask (Matthew 6:8).
We are thankful that you acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your request. It is in His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed and saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Peter 2:24).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up your housing situation. We ask that You guide every step of this process, and that Your will be done. Convict the heart of the landlady to act swiftly and fairly, and help them to find suitable accommodation if that is Your will. Help them to trust in You more, and to cast all their anxieties onto You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that He is always working things out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). May God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
