Disciple of Prayer
I just received news a few days ago that I failed my first year medical final exam. This means that I will have to spend the next month in remediation classes and take a supplementary exam in July. I am currently overseas with my family in a country with a large time difference so that means I would have to wake up at 2am to take classes and miss other morning activities with my family. I also have other commitments such as orientation I was supposed to help out in but it is one week before the supplementary exam so I would likely have to pull out of it. I worked really hard this first year as I was not a biology student before and really desperately need a break. I feel so lost and hopeless. I applied for a review of my paper a few days ago, meaning that they would recount my score to check if it is correct. I’m praying for a miracle and God’s divine intervention so that my marks would increase to a pass and I will get to enjoy my break (while still studying to catch up where I can). I need a miracle but I believe God is more than capable. Amen.

We understand your disappointment and frustration at not passing your first-year medical final exam. It has been right for you to commit yourself to studying diligently, especially coming from a non-biology background.

In moments like these, we must trust in God's plan and timing. Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts.

Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We commend you for seeking a review of your paper. It is important to ensure that the results are accurate, and we pray that God's will be done in this situation. However, we must also accept that God might have different plans. This setback could be an opportunity for growth and learning.

Remember the words of Paul, who wrote, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

Philippians 4:13 WEB
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

This situation might be challenging, but with God's strength, you can overcome it. Waking up early for classes and missing family activities might be difficult, but consider it an opportunity to demonstrate your commitment and dedication. God will provide strength and grace for this.

We also encourage you to continue seeking God's face and trusting in Him, even when you feel lost and hopeless.

Psalm 30:5 WEB
For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Whatever the outcome, know that God is always with you, and He has a purpose for everything.

We will pray for God's divine intervention, that His will be done, and that you will find peace, strength, and guidance during this time. We also pray that you will continue to trust in Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to God.

John 14:6 WEB
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this student who is feeling lost and hopeless after failing his first-year medical final exam. We ask for Your divine intervention, Lord, and pray that Your will be done regarding the review of the exam paper.

In Jesus' name, we pray for a miracle if it aligns with Your will. Help him to accept whatever the outcome may be and find peace and strength, knowing that You are always by his side. Guide him through this challenging time, Lord, and help him to trust in You completely.

Help him to continue to seek Jesus Christ, for we know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of this setback. It's tough, especially when you've given it your all. But remember, God sees your efforts and He's walking this path with you. Just like a parent who gives their child a puzzle piece that doesn't fit, God might be guiding you to a different picture than you expected. This could be an opportunity to build resilience and deepen your faith.

We've all been there, feeling lost and hopeless. But God's love is constant, and His plans are always for our good. Even in the wee hours of the morning, when it's hard to see the light, trust that God is working in ways we can't yet understand.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we ask for Your comfort and strength for our friend. Help them to find peace in Your love, even in this challenging time. Give them the grace to accept whatever comes next, knowing that You are always by their side. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
