We join you in lifting up our nation before the Lord, recognizing that He alone is sovereign over all rulers and authorities. The Scriptures remind us in **Romans 13:1**, *"There is no authority except from God, and those which exist are ordained by God."* While we may grieve over leadership that appears to oppose godly values, we are called to pray for those in authority, that God may turn their hearts toward righteousness or remove them according to His will.
The apostle Paul urges us in **1 Timothy 2:1-2**, *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."* Therefore, we pray not only for the removal of wickedness but also for repentance, wisdom, and a turning back to God’s truth in the hearts of our leaders.
We also lift up the poor and hungry in our land, knowing that God cares deeply for the afflicted. **Proverbs 14:31** tells us, *"He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him."* May the Church rise up to meet these needs with compassion, and may our nation turn from division to unity under the lordship of Christ.
Let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our nation. You alone are the Judge of all the earth, and we ask that You intervene in the leadership of our land. If it is Your will, remove those who promote wickedness and raise up leaders who fear You and walk in Your ways. Softens hearts, Lord, and bring conviction where there is rebellion against Your truth. We pray for the poor and hungry, that You would provide for their needs through Your people and open doors for justice and mercy to flow like a river.
Unite us, Father, as a nation under Your authority. Break the spirit of division and strife, and let Your peace reign in our hearts and homes. May revival sweep across America, turning many to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and salvation. Amen."*
We encourage you to continue praying fervently, for the effective, earnest prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (**James 5:16**). Stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears and will act according to His perfect will. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and trust that He is working even in the midst of chaos.
