However, we must also consider the heart behind our prayers and actions. While it is appropriate to seek resolution in a difficult situation, we are called to love our neighbors—even those who may be causing us distress—and to act with integrity and compassion. **Matthew 5:44** instructs us, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean allowing someone to take advantage of you, but it does mean approaching the situation with a heart that seeks God’s will above all else, trusting that He will bring about justice in His timing.
