Beloved of All
Father in the name of Jesus Christ I ask for YOUR will in the potential eviction case against me. This is the first time that a potential lawsuit is being brought against me. I fell behind in rent due to leaving a job where I was mistreated. I promised you there I would not do anything to dishonor you to feign the finances needed. It is hard for me to sleep at night thinking about possibly losing everything including the roof over my head. At this point I’m taking a break from reaching out to agencies or anyone else because it’s a dead end. I’ll just face the eviction and toughen up for the next phase. I cannot control what landlords do. I have no family or friends that I can trust and I’ll be a woman on the streets alone. I stopped getting my hopes up because I was abused and no one stopped it. My body is worn down and I don’t think you’ve heard my prayers So I’ll stop asking and just give up. The times we live in are very dangerous time and I don’t know how I’m going to cope. I just have no more motivation to look for work. If it’s a toxic environment I’ll leave immediately. I just can’t take anymore. Does integrity matter anymore? Those who purposely try to destroy others get to keep their jobs. I feel let down and vulnerable. Terrible. I feel used and abused.

We hear the deep sorrow and exhaustion in your heart, and we want you to know that God has not abandoned you—even when it feels as though your prayers are unheard. You have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, and that is where your hope must remain, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and no other way we can approach the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). Your pain is real, and your struggles are seen by Him who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). But we must gently yet firmly rebuke the spirit of despair that is whispering lies to you—that God does not care, that integrity no longer matters, or that surrendering to hopelessness is the only way forward. These are not the words of truth, but the accusations of the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Do not let go of the Lord’s hand now, for He is the one who sustains the weary and strengthens the powerless (Isaiah 40:29).

You have faced injustice—mistreatment in the workplace, betrayal by those who should have protected you, and now the threat of losing your home. It is understandable that you feel worn down, but we urge you not to harden your heart or retreat into isolation. The Lord has not forgotten your integrity, and He sees the wickedness of those who act without conscience. Proverbs 22:22-23 warns, *"Don’t exploit the poor because they are poor, and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder those who plunder them."* Your landlord, your former employers, and all who have acted unjustly will answer to God, who is the righteous Judge (Hebrews 12:23). But your focus must not be on their accountability—it must be on trusting that God will provide for you, even in this valley.

You mentioned stopping your search for help because it feels like a "dead end," and you’re considering just accepting eviction as inevitable. But we must challenge this resignation, for it is not of faith. Jesus told His disciples, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened"* (Matthew 7:7-8). This does not mean God will always answer in the way we expect, but it *does* mean we are to persist in seeking His help, not in our own strength, but in dependence on Him. Have you truly exhausted *all* avenues? Have you sought wisdom from your church or trusted believers who might offer guidance or temporary shelter? Have you asked God to open doors you haven’t even considered? Sometimes, the Lord allows us to reach the end of *our* resources so that we might discover *His* provision in ways we never imagined.

As for work, we understand your hesitation after experiencing toxic environments. But we must remind you that even in difficult circumstances, the Lord calls us to labor with excellence as unto Him (Colossians 3:23). That does not mean staying in abuse—if a workplace is truly harmful, you are right to leave—but it *does* mean not giving up on the principle of diligent work. Proverbs 13:4 says, *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."* Ask God to lead you to a place of employment where you can honor Him, even if it is not your ideal situation. Sometimes, the Lord provides through temporary or humble means to sustain us until His greater plan unfolds.

Most pressingly, we must address the danger of your statement: *"I’ll just face the eviction and toughen up for the next phase... I’ll be a woman on the streets alone."* Beloved, this is not a path you should passively accept without fighting for God’s intervention. The streets are not where the Lord desires His children to be. He is Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides (Genesis 22:14), and He has promised to never leave nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). If eviction seems imminent, we urge you to:
1. **Seek legal aid**—many communities have free or low-cost legal services for tenants facing eviction. Do not assume there is no help without exploring every option.
2. **Contact local churches or ministries**—some have funds or networks to assist with housing crises. Even if you’ve been let down before, not all believers will fail you.
3. **Pray for a miracle**—ask God to soften your landlord’s heart, to provide the funds supernaturally, or to open a door for temporary housing. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
4. **Prepare for transition**—if eviction cannot be avoided, begin praying now for where God would have you go next. He has not left you without a plan.

Lastly, your weariness has led you to say, *"I don’t think you’ve heard my prayers, so I’ll stop asking and just give up."* This breaks our hearts, for it echoes the despair of the Psalmist in moments of crisis—yet even in his darkness, he *kept* crying out to God. Listen to Psalm 13:1-6:
*"How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart?... But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me."*
The Psalmist’s hope was not in his circumstances changing immediately, but in the *character* of God—His unfailing love and goodness. You must do the same. Keep praying. Keep seeking. Keep trusting, even when you cannot see the way forward.

**Let us pray with you:**

Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You, knowing that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lord, she is weary—bone-weary from fighting, from injustice, from the weight of loneliness and fear. But You have not abandoned her. You see her sleepless nights, her aching heart, and the enemies that rise up against her. We ask You, in the name of Jesus Christ, to intervene in this eviction. Soften the heart of her landlord, Lord. Provide the funds she needs supernaturally, whether through unexpected sources, a new job, or the generosity of Your people. Open doors she hasn’t even knocked on yet. Give her wisdom to navigate this legally and spiritually.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair that has whispered lies to her—that she is forgotten, that integrity doesn’t matter, that surrender is the only option. Replace those lies with Your truth: that she is *seen*, that You are just, and that You fight for the oppressed. Restore her hope, Lord. Renew her strength so that she mounts up with wings like eagles (Isaiah 40:31). If she has withdrawn from seeking help, convict her to reach out again—to Your body, to resources You’ve placed in her path. Do not let her face this alone.

For the wounds of her past—the abuse, the betrayal, the mistreatment—we ask for Your healing balm. Let her not be defined by what others have done to her, but by who *You* say she is: a daughter of the King, redeemed, and precious in Your sight. Give her the courage to keep pursuing work, trusting that You will lead her to a place where she is treated with dignity. And if the worst should come, if eviction cannot be stopped, go before her, Lord. Prepare a place of safety, a community to surround her, and a path forward she cannot yet see.

Most of all, Father, draw her closer to You in this storm. Let her know, beyond any doubt, that You *have* heard her prayers. Strengthen her faith to keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking, even when the answer tarries. Remind her that You are not just a God who *can* save—You are a God who *does* save, who *will* save, in Your perfect timing.

We declare Your promises over her: that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), that You will supply all her needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Let her testify soon of Your faithfulness, Lord. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. **Amen.**

We're right here with you, sister. We know it feels overwhelming, but remember, God is in the details. He sees your tears, your sleepless nights, and your worn-out body. He hasn't forgotten you. In fact, He's been preparing a way out for you, even when you can't see it yet.

First, let's trust that God is a God of justice. He sees the wrong done to you, and He won't let it go unnoticed. Keep standing up for what's right, even if it's hard. Remember, Jesus said, "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:10).

Next, let's keep seeking help. It's true that you've been let down before, but don't let that stop you from trying again. There are good people out there who want to help. Have you reached out to local churches or community support groups? Sometimes, help comes from unexpected places.

And remember, even when it feels like you're alone, you're not. You have a community of believers praying for you, cheering you on. We're here, and we're not going anywhere. You're not alone in this fight.

Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking. God is working behind the scenes, and He's got this. He's got you. And one day soon, you'll look back and see His faithfulness in all this. Keep your eyes on Him, sister. He's got this.
