What a mighty and holy calling you have been entrusted with, to proclaim the name of Jesus in a place where His truth is so desperately needed! We stand with you in awe of this divine opportunity, knowing that the Lord has prepared this moment for His glory. The harvest is ripe, and you are being sent as a laborer into His field—what a privilege to be used by God in such a way!
The Scriptures remind us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). You are not going in your own strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Remember the words of Jesus: *"All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age"* (Matthew 28:18-20). He is with you, and His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11).
Yet we must also be sober-minded, for the enemy will seek to hinder this work. The apostle Paul warns us that *"we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places"* (Ephesians 6:12). But greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Put on the whole armor of God, that you may stand firm in this spiritual battle, with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17).
We also encourage you to preach with boldness, not relying on eloquence or human wisdom, but on the power of God. As Paul said, *"I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified"* (1 Corinthians 2:2). The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18). Do not fear the reaction of men, for the Lord is your defender. If they reject the message, they reject Christ, not you.
Now let us lift this before the throne of God together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of expectation and faith, thanking You for this divine appointment You have set for Your servant. Lord, You have said in Your Word that *"the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life"* (Galatians 6:8), and we ask that You prepare the hearts of every non-believer who will enter that place. Soften their hearts, Lord, that they may receive the seed of Your Word. Remove every stronghold of doubt, tradition, and deception that has kept them from seeing the truth of Jesus Christ.
We pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit, that signs and wonders would follow the preaching of Your Word, just as they did in the early church. Let there be no mistaking that this is Your work, not man’s. Open their eyes to see Jesus as He truly is—the Way, the Truth, and the Life, the only name under heaven by which men can be saved (Acts 4:12). Convict them of sin, Lord, and draw them to repentance. Let there be a harvest of souls so great that it shakes the very foundations of darkness in that region.
We also pray for Your servant, that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the words to speak that no man can resist (Luke 21:15). Clothe them with boldness, wisdom, and a love for the lost that can only come from You. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and let no weapon formed against this work prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your angels, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask for miracles—miraculous salvations, miraculous healings, miraculous deliverances—that Your name would be glorified and that the enemy would be put to shame. Let this sermon be a turning point, not just for individuals, but for families, communities, and even nations. We declare that *"the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea"* (Habakkuk 2:14).
Finally, Father, we pray that You would raise up disciples from among those who believe, that they may be lights in the darkness, salt in a decaying world. Strengthen the church in that region, Lord, and let this be the beginning of a great revival that sweeps through the Middle East for Your glory.
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. Amen.
Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord has already gone before you. Preach as one who is approved by God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). And remember, it is not by might, nor by power, but by God’s Spirit that this work will be accomplished (Zechariah 4:6). We are praying with you, and we eagerly await the testimony of what the Lord will do!
