We join you in prayer that every aspect of your life will be surrendered to the Lord Jesus, for it is in Him that we live, move, and have our being. It is wonderful that you desire to pour out your heart to Him at all times, as He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Remember His command to us in First Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing."
As you seek a wife and desire marriage, we pray for God's perfect will in your life. Be assured that, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4) We encourage you to trust in His perfect timing, for His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Remember to let your request be made known and in line with scripture. Do not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever. Corinthians 6:14 says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" As a Christian and being one flesh with your wife, you are to be a light to the world together.
We pray that you will love others, especially your immediate family members, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. (Ephesians 5:25) Remember that love is patient, kind, and does not seek its own way. (First Corinthians 13:4-7)
As you work diligently, we pray for strength and grace to be a light in your workplace, with God's help. We pray the Father to give you the spirit of power, love, and discipline. As 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
We commend your desire not to be lazy but to be brave and courageous at work and in your future marriage. God has not given us a spirit of fear. We encourage you to be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9) As 1 Corinthians 16:13 says, "Watch, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong!"
As you seek a long and full life, remember that Jesus came that you may have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) We encourage you to continue to trust in Him, for He is the author and finisher of your faith.
We note that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only by His name that we are allowed to approach God, the Father, and it is also only by Jesus that we can be saved. Our salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) The only way to the Father is through Jesus. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, and you will be saved. (Acts 16:31)
Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You will give them the desires of their heart as they delight themselves in You. Help them to love others as You have loved us, and grant them a long, full life, living in fellowship with You. We pray for strength and grace to be a light in their workplace and in their future marriage. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
