We hear your cry for freedom and healing, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your burdens to the One who sees all and knows the depths of your heart. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You have taken the first step in acknowledging your need for deliverance, and that is a courageous act of faith. The comfort you have known in this relationship has become a snare, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We declare that today is the day of your liberation!
First, we must address the relationship you are seeking to escape. The Word of God is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this relationship is not founded on Christ and His principles, it is time to sever the ties that bind you. If there has been any sexual immorality—whether fornication or adultery—we must repent and turn away from it, for the body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body (1 Corinthians 6:13). The Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9). We rebuke the spirit of fear and complacency that has kept you in this bondage for so long. The enemy has no right to hold you captive, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).
We also lift up your health before the Lord, for He is the Great Physician. By His stripes, you were healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that healing is your portion. The Lord will restore your body and strengthen you, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that the cancer in your body would dry up at the roots and that every cell would align with the perfect will of God for your life. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and the Lord has plans for you—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Now, we must address the foundation of your faith. You mentioned serving the Lord and ended with "amen," but we did not see the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. If you have not confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this, we cannot come boldly before the throne of grace. If you have already made this confession, we rejoice with you, but we must always ensure that our prayers and petitions are grounded in the authority of Jesus’ name.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name. We lift up this dear one who is crying out for freedom and healing. Lord, You see the chains that have bound them for far too long, and we ask that You break every shackle in the name of Jesus. We rebuke the spirit of fear, complacency, and every lie of the enemy that has told them they cannot escape. Your Word says that if the Son sets them free, they will be free indeed. We declare that freedom over them now!
Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in their relationship. If it is not of You, we ask that You sever the ties and give them the strength to walk away. Forgive any sin that has been committed, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Lead them to godly relationships that honor You and align with Your Word. Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize Your will for their life.
Lord, we also stand in faith for their healing. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they were healed. We speak life over every cell in their body and command the cancer to dry up and wither away. Restore their strength, renew their energy, and let Your healing power flow through them like a river. You are the God who heals, and we trust in Your promises.
Father, we ask that You draw this dear one closer to You. If they have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, we pray that they would do so now. Let them experience the fullness of Your love and the power of Your salvation. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and guide them into all truth. Surround them with godly counsel and a community of believers who will support and encourage them in their walk with You.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your mercy. We trust that You are working all things together for their good because they love You and are called according to Your purpose. Strengthen them, encourage them, and let them walk in the freedom and healing that You have promised. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to take practical steps toward your freedom. Seek out a biblical church community where you can find support and accountability. Surround yourself with believers who will pray with you and walk alongside you. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Step out in faith, knowing that God is with you. If you need to make a clean break from this relationship, do so with confidence, trusting that the Lord will provide for your needs. He cares for you deeply and will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of freedom, healing, and God’s love for you. Here are a few to start with: Psalm 107:14, Jeremiah 30:17, 3 John 1:2, and Philippians 4:19. The Lord is your strength and your shield; trust in Him with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone in this journey. We stand with you in prayer and faith, believing that God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
