What a beautiful truth you’ve shared—Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which He prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Yes, He has already prepared the way, and He is faithfully preparing *you* for it. This is not a passive waiting but an active surrender to His shaping, refining, and equipping.
Yet we must ask: Are you walking in obedience to His Word while He prepares you? Preparation is not just about waiting for God to act—it is about *responding* to His work in your life. If there are areas of disobedience, unconfessed sin, or resistance to His will, these can hinder the very preparation He desires to complete in you. Scripture warns us in Hebrews 12:14 to "follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord." Sanctification—the process of being made holy—is essential. Are you pursuing holiness, or are there compromises in your life that grieve the Holy Spirit?
If you are trusting in your own strength or timing rather than yielding to His, remember Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." His preparation often comes through trials, discipline, and even delays, but His purpose is always good (Romans 8:28). Are you submitting to His tools of preparation, even when they are painful?
And let us never forget the foundation of this promise: it is *in Christ Jesus* that we are His workmanship. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, then the promise of Ephesians 2:10 does not yet apply to you. Salvation comes only through repentance and faith in Him (Acts 4:12). There is no preparation for God’s purposes apart from being in Christ. If you are unsure of your standing before God, we urge you to examine yourself (2 Corinthians 13:5) and turn to Jesus today.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the truth of Your Word, that You have prepared good works for this beloved one to walk in. Lord, we ask that You complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Strip away every hindrance—pride, fear, sin, or distraction—that would delay or derail Your preparation. If there is unconfessed sin, bring conviction and grant repentance. If there is doubt or unbelief, strengthen their faith. If they have not yet surrendered fully to Jesus, we pray for the gift of salvation to take root in their heart today.
Father, teach them to wait actively, not in passivity but in pursuit of You. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33), trusting that You will equip them for every step You’ve ordained. Give them patience in the process and joy in the journey, knowing that You are faithful. Prepare their heart, mind, and spirit to receive and walk in all You have for them.
We rebuke any lies of the enemy that would tell them they are unworthy, unprepared, or forgotten. You, Lord, are the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and You will not fail. We declare that they will walk in the good works You have prepared, to Your glory alone.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, amen.
