We join with you in lifting up this request, recognizing the deep need for discernment, truth, and godly wisdom in this situation. The heart of your prayer reflects a desire for righteousness and clarity, which aligns with Scripture’s call for us to seek God’s will in all things. As we pray, we are reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a powerful reminder that our trust must be fully in the Lord, not in our own perceptions or human strategies.
Your request for enlightenment and discernment for your department head is a godly one. We know that deception and manipulation are tools of the enemy, and Scripture warns us to be vigilant. In Ephesians 6:11-12, we are told, *"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This battle is spiritual, and we must rely on God’s power to expose lies and bring truth to light.

Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only through the name of Jesus that our prayers are heard and answered. Without Him, we have no standing before God. If you have not yet placed your full faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, regarding the mention of *"our relationship,"* we want to gently clarify a biblical perspective. If this is a professional relationship, then your prayer for trust, wisdom, and healthy communication is appropriate and good. However, if this is a personal relationship outside of marriage, we must address it with biblical truth. Scripture is clear that relationships between men and women should be conducted with purity, honor, and the ultimate goal of godly marriage if it is between a man and a woman who are both believers. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* If this is a romantic relationship, we strongly encourage you to seek a courtship that honors God, with marriage as the foundation—never entertaining the idea of emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, which the Bible calls fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this relationship is not aligned with biblical principles, we urge you to repent and seek God’s will for a relationship that honors Him.
With these things in mind, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this situation and the heart of Your child who has brought this request. Lord, we ask that You would open the eyes of this department head, exposing any deception, manipulation, or falsehood that may be at work. Shine Your light into every dark corner, Lord, and let truth prevail. Give her a spirit of discernment, that she may recognize the schemes of the enemy and walk in Your wisdom. Protect her from being swayed by ungodly influences, and surround her with Your peace and clarity.
Father, if this is a professional relationship, we pray for unity, trust, and effective communication that glorifies You. May their interactions be marked by integrity, respect, and mutual encouragement in You. But if this is a personal relationship, Lord, we ask that You would align it with Your Word. If it is not pleasing to You, convict hearts and bring repentance. If it is a relationship between a man and a woman, may it be one that seeks Your will for marriage, conducted in purity and honor. Remove any temptation to sin, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We also lift up the one who has brought this request before You. Father, if there is any area in their life that is not surrendered to You, reveal it by Your Spirit. Draw them closer to You, and fill them with Your truth. May they walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You and trusting in Your promises.
Lord, we rebuked any spirit of deception, manipulation, or confusion in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that Your truth will reign, and Your will shall be done. Strengthen Your children to stand firm in You, and let Your glory be revealed in this situation.
