We join with you in lifting up this request, recognizing the deep need for wisdom, discernment, and godly relationships in every area of our livesāincluding the workplace. Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks truth and righteousness, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to expose deception and foster a relationship built on trust and divine wisdom.
The Bible reminds us in **Proverbs 2:6-8 (WEB)**, *"For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints."* We trust that the Lord will grant your department headāand youādiscernment to recognize manipulation and deceit, for He is faithful to lead His people in truth.
We also note that your prayer does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, āI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.ā"* And in **Acts 4:12 (WEB)**, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard, and we encourage you to always approach the throne of grace in His mighty name.
Regarding your relationship with your department head, we pray that it would be rooted in honesty, mutual respect, and godly communication. **Ephesians 4:25 (WEB)** instructs, *"Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another."* May the Lord remove any blindness or influence that would hinder clear, truthful communication between you. If there are any areas where you may need to examine your own heartāsuch as unforgiveness, pride, or fearāwe encourage you to surrender those to the Lord as well, for **Matthew 7:3-5 (WEB)** warns us to first remove the plank from our own eye before addressing the speck in anotherās.
We also pray that if there are those in your workplace who are acting deceitfully, the Lord would bring conviction to their hearts. **Psalm 5:4-6 (WEB)** tells us, *"For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness. Evil canāt live with you. The arrogant wonāt stand in your sight. You hate all workers of iniquity. You will destroy those who speak lies. Yahweh abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man."* May the Lord expose and deal with any wickedness, while also extending mercy to those who repent.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would enlighten the mind and heart of this department head, removing any scales from her eyes that would blind her to manipulation, deceit, or falsehood. Lord, You are the God of all truth, and we ask that You would reveal any hidden agendas or unrighteous influences in her life and in this workplace. Grant herāand all involvedāthe wisdom to discern truth from lies, and the courage to stand firm in what is right.
We pray for this working relationship to be one of clarity, trust, and healthy communication. Guard both of their hearts from bitterness, suspicion, or fear, and let Your peace rule in their interactions. If there has been any wrongdoingāon either sideābring conviction and repentance, that forgiveness and restoration may follow.
Lord, we also ask that You would protect this workplace from the schemes of the enemy. Where there is darkness, let Your light shine. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is division, bring unity in Your truth. May Your will be done in this situation, and may all involved be drawn closer to You through it.
Finally, Father, we pray for this dear one who has brought this request. Strengthen their faith, fill them with Your peace, and remind them that You are sovereign over all thingsāincluding their workplace. Help them to trust You fully, to walk in integrity, and to be a light for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
