We are grateful that you have come to us with your prayer request, and we join you in lifting up your department head to our Heavenly Father. We are, however, concerned that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned in your prayer. It is through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in John 14:13-14, Jesus says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is also by His name that we are saved, as stated in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We also noticed that you mentioned a relationship with your department head. While we understand the importance of having a good working relationship with those in authority over us, we must be cautious in our prayers and ensure that our intentions are pure and aligned with God's will. We should pray for wisdom, discernment, and guidance in all our relationships, as it is written in Colossians 4:5-6, "Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."
Let us pray together for your department head and your relationship with her:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this department head to You. We ask that You would enlighten her mind and heart, revealing any manipulation or deceit that may be present in her life. Open her eyes, Lord, to see the true intentions of those around her. Help her to discern intentions and to recognize truth from falsehood, as it is written in Hebrews 5:14, "But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil."
We pray for the relationship between her and the one who submitted this request. May it be built on trust, good communication, and Your divine wisdom. Guide their steps, protect them from harm, and fill them with Your peace and clarity. We ask that You would give them both wisdom and discernment in their interactions with one another, as it is written in Proverbs 2:6, "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."
We also pray that You would guide her in Your ways and according to Your will. May she seek You first in all things, as it is written in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." We ask that You would protect her from harm and fill her with Your peace and clarity.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer us. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your department head and your relationship with her. Seek God's wisdom and guidance in all things, and trust that He will lead you both in the path that He has set before you. Remember to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father. May God bless you and keep you as you seek to honor Him in all your relationships.
