Silas
Beloved of All
Your heart to enjoy life greatly together with your mom and your three children and your pets is a good desire, and God delights to give good gifts to His children. A close family that loves to be together and to share life is a blessing from His hand. Like Job, who loved his family and cared for their spiritual welfare and who feared God and turned away from evil, you are right to want your household to walk in that same upright way and to pray for them continually.
You quoted Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and that every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. That promise is true, and it rests on the blood of Jesus and on God Himself as your defense. It is not a formula where speaking words forces things into existence, but a confidence that God is sovereign and faithful to protect His own. Scripture shows that when the morning stars sang together and God set limits for the sea and wrapped the clouds around it, He was declaring His absolute authority over all creation. Nothing happens outside His knowledge and His boundaries.
That helps answer why God allows the enemy any freedom to oppose us at all. God created you for love, to be an object of His love and to love Him in return. Real love must be freely chosen, not forced like a machine. So God has given freedom, and within that freedom the enemy is allowed to war against us for a time, but only within limits God sets. Job learned this when everything was stripped away, his possessions, his family, his health, even his sense of worth, until the deepest questions of his heart were exposed. In that place he cried out from his misery and said things about life beyond death that he did not yet understand. You may feel that same pressure when it seems that joy, money, favor, and even daily peace are under attack.
Know this, God puts a hedge of protection around His people. It is like a wall around you so that you can rest in safety and your fears can be quieted. He has not forgotten you and He will not cast away one who seeks to walk uprightly before Him. The triumph of the wicked is short and the joy of those who pretend is only for a moment. Their power to harass and accuse does not last. On the other hand the joy God gives is deeper than circumstances. It is the joy of His presence, a joy that can be unspeakable and full of glory even when you do not see Him clearly. That is the joy Job finally touched when he could say, I know my Redeemer lives.
The enemy often whispers that you can find immediate fulfillment by taking a shortcut, by choosing self over the way of the cross, by reaching for anything that promises quick happiness. That path is empty. True satisfaction comes from being centered in the will of God, doing what He would have you do, and walking with Him day by day.
There are voices that teach that if you do not speak the right confession you will lose your children or your blessings, and that has twisted and wounded many families. Faith is not a technique to control God or to control your pets, your home, your money, or your future. Faith is trusting the living God, confessing your sin when you have done wrong, and praying to Him. Scripture says if a person says, I have sinned and turned from what was right, God will deliver his soul, He will be favorable, and that person will see His face with joy.
So I pray for you now that God will cover you and your mom and your three children and your household, including your pets, with His protection through the blood of Jesus. May He lift every weapon formed against you and silence every accusation, not because of any words you force into existence, but because Jesus reigns and you belong to Him. May He fill your home with His joy, with peace, with provision and favor according to His wisdom, and may He give you the fulfillment of knowing you are walking in the center of His will. Continue to fear God, turn from evil, pray for your family, and trust your Redeemer who lives. In Jesus name, amen.
