We are thrilled to join you in prayer as you prepare for your job interview as an English teacher. We are reminded of the words in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Before we pray, we want to encourage you to trust in the Lord's plan for your life. It is wonderful that you are seeking employment, and we pray that if it is God's will, you will be selected for this important role of teaching children. Remember that God has a purpose for you, and He will guide your steps according to His will.
We also want to remind you of the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ in your request. It is through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved, as Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our sister/brother who is preparing for a job interview tomorrow. Lord, we ask that You guide her/him and grant her/him favor with the interviewers. If it is Your will, open the doors for her/him to be selected for this teaching position, that she/he may impact the lives of children and be a positive influence in their growth and development.
Help her/him to remember that she/he is working ultimately for You, Lord, and not for man. Grant her/him the wisdom, knowledge, and patience needed to excel in this role. We pray that her/his faith will shine through her/his teaching, drawing others to You.
If this job is not part of You perfect plan for her/him, Lord, we pray that You will make that clear to her/him. Give her/him peace and assurance in knowing that You have something even better in store for her/him.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
We will continue to keep you in our prayers.
