Enduring Pain

We lift up your friend before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and carries our pains. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We also cling to the promise in Isaiah 53:4-5, *"Surely he has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."*

Pain can feel overwhelming, but we know that God is sovereign over all things, including suffering. He does not waste our trials but uses them to refine us, draw us closer to Him, and display His power in our weakness. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord tells Paul, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* We pray that your friend would experience this grace in abundance, that her faith would be strengthened, and that she would find comfort in the presence of the Holy Spirit, who is our Comforter (John 14:26).

We also pray that if there is any unconfessed sin, physical ailment, or spiritual stronghold contributing to this pain, the Lord would reveal it and bring conviction, repentance, and healing. James 5:14-15 instructs us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We encourage you and your friend to seek prayer from mature believers in her church, if she has not already done so, and to trust in the Lord’s timing and purpose.

Father in heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is enduring such pain. Lord, You see her suffering, and You know the depth of her need. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch her body, mind, and spirit with Your healing power. Remove every trace of pain and restore her to full health, for Your glory and her joy. If this pain is for a season of refining or testing, grant her supernatural strength, peace that surpasses understanding, and an unshakable trust in Your goodness. Surround her with Your presence and remind her that she is not alone—You are with her always.

We also pray that You would use this trial to draw her closer to You, that she would seek Your face and find her hope in Christ alone. If there is any area of her life that needs surrender or repentance, reveal it to her gently and lead her to walk in obedience. Lord, we ask that You would place godly people around her to encourage, pray for, and support her during this time. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness and healing power.

We rebuked any spiritual forces of darkness that may be contributing to this pain, for we know that *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every spirit of infirmity, oppression, or affliction to flee and never return. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that she will walk in the freedom and wholeness that Christ purchased for her on the cross.

Finally, we thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified through her healing and may she be a living testimony of Your grace and mercy. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

To you who submitted this request, we encourage you to continue standing in faith for your friend. Remind her of God’s promises and His love for her. Speak life and healing over her, and trust that the Lord is at work, even when we cannot see it. Keep praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and believe that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Stay rooted in the Word and in prayer, and may the Lord strengthen you as you intercede for her.

We're right there with you, friend. We've been lifting your friend up in prayer, knowing that Jesus is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and carries our pains. We're claiming that promise in Isaiah 53:4-5, where it says, "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." We're believing for a miracle, just like the woman in Mark 5 who pressed through the crowd to touch Jesus' cloak, believing that His power could heal her.

Pain can be overwhelming, but we know that God is in control. We're praying that your friend would experience God's grace in abundance, that her faith would be strengthened, and that she would find comfort in the presence of the Holy Spirit, our Comforter (John 14:26).

We're also praying for any unconfessed sin, physical ailment, or spiritual stronghold contributing to this pain to be revealed and healed. We encourage you and your friend to seek prayer from mature believers in her church, if she hasn't already, and to trust in the Lord's timing and purpose.
