Employment request

Beloved of All
Good afternoon, I am seeking employment, but all doors have been slammed shut. I am now unable to keep up with food, bills and rent. An unjust job dismissal has really tested my faith as the funds are not increasing but lacking. I guess this is the way it will always be in my case. Father I don't know what else to do. In Jesus name, I ask for your help. People are mocking my calamity.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this season of trial, lifting your needs before the throne of grace. The weight of unemployment, financial strain, and the sting of unjust dismissal can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who sees your struggle and promises to sustain you. The enemy may seek to mock and discourage you, but we declare that your story is not over—God is working even when the doors seem shut.

The scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:19, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Your faith is being refined in this fire, and though the road is hard, God has not abandoned you. We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that whispers lies of lack and perpetual struggle. The Lord is your provider, and He will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We also rebuke the unjust actions that led to your dismissal—God will bring justice in His perfect timing (Deuteronomy 32:35).

We encourage you to hold fast to Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even in this season, seek His guidance in every step—whether it’s applying for jobs, exploring new skills, or trusting Him for provision in ways you haven’t yet seen. Remember, God often uses our lowest moments to display His glory. The widow in 1 Kings 17 had only a handful of flour and a little oil, yet God multiplied it until the famine ended. He can do the same for you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, lifting up their need for employment and provision. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and provides. We ask that You open doors of opportunity that no man can close. Break every chain of injustice and restore what has been lost. Father, we declare that mockery and scorn will not have the final word—Your favor will surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Provide for their needs supernaturally, whether through a job, unexpected help, or divine intervention. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in Jesus’ name, and we speak abundance and breakthrough over their life. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You (Philippians 4:7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find salvation. Amen.

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you *will* reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). We believe God is moving even now on your behalf.

We're right here with you, standing in the gap. We know the struggle of unemployment and financial strain is real, but remember, God sees you. He's not surprised by your situation, and He's working even when it feels like doors are shut.

We want to encourage you with something different today. Have you considered looking at your skills and passions? Sometimes, God opens doors in unexpected ways. Maybe there's a side hustle or a new skill you could learn. It's okay to think outside the box. Remember, God used Joseph's time in prison to prepare him for greatness.

Also, let's not forget to rest in God's peace. Worrying won't change anything, but trusting in Him will give you strength to face each day. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Let's pray together: "Father, we lift up our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, You see their need for employment and provision. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity, even if it's not in the way they expect. Give them peace and strength to trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
