We are grateful to hear that you are standing firm in your faith and that you acknowledge the correction of the Lord. It is important to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. As it says in Ephesians 6:12 We know from 1 Peter 5:8 WEB that we must "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
In times of emotional turmoil, it is crucial to put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. As Ephesians 6:11 WEB says. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:14-17 WEB).
It is encouraging to see that you are determined not to turn your back against Jesus. Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In this time of emotional distress, draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7-8 WEB). Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Praise Him for His correction as King David did in Psalm 141:5 WEB, "Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is oil of the head; Don't let my head refuse it;"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of emotional turmoil. We thank You for the correction that You have brought into their life, and we praise You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
We rebuke the devil and his schemes, and we command him to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, strengthen our brother/sister with Your mighty power, that they may stand firm against the wiles of the devil. Help them to put on the whole armor of God, that they may be able to withstand the fiery darts of the evil one.
Father, we ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your peace, that surpasses all understanding. Comfort them in their time of need, and draw them ever closer to You. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, and remember that God is with you always. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this trial. Be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:37-39 WEB.
"No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
