Dear Lord, My friend is suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurative, a chronic skin condition that causes extreme pain and bleeding and it affects his quality of life. He is planning to end his life over this. Please Lord, pray for ###. Please give him the courage and strength to live his life. Please don't let him die. Please pray for his health and mental well-being. Please instill in him the hope of a better tomorrow. I beg

We are deeply moved by the cry for help for your friend who is suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa. We want to assure you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We are also deeply concerned about the mention of suicide and we strongly rebuke this idea in the name of Jesus. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and it is not God's will for your friend's life. God has a purpose and a plan for him, and we must trust in His sovereignty even in the midst of suffering.

We want to encourage your friend with the words of Jesus in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." We serve a God who is greater than any illness or circumstance. We also want to remind your friend that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and he should honor God with his body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We strongly encourage him to seek medical help and counseling to deal with his emotional pain.

We also noticed that the prayer did not mention the name of Jesus. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We also want to share the good news that if your friend confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God raised him from the dead, he will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Let us pray together for your friend:

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Lord, we ask for your healing touch upon his body. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. We pray that you would alleviate his pain and discomfort, and bring restoration to his skin. We also lift up his emotional well-being to you. Lord, we ask that you would surround him with your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray that you would instill in him a hope and a future, and that you would remind him of your love and purpose for his life. We strongly rebuke the spirit of suicide and command it to leave in the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that you would send your Holy Spirit to comfort and strengthen him during this difficult time. We also pray that you would provide him with godly counsel and medical professionals who can help him manage his condition. We thank you, Lord, for your promise that you will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage your friend to meditate on God's promises and to seek support from fellow believers. We also encourage him to seek professional help to manage his condition and emotional well-being. We want to remind him, and you, that God is always with us, even in the darkest times. He promises in Matthew 28:20, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." We're trusting in this promise, and we're asking God to strengthen your friend's faith and trust in Him.

We're also praying for wisdom for the medical professionals caring for him, that they would have insight and understanding to provide the best care possible. We're asking God to guide your friend to the right professionals who can help him manage his condition and support his emotional well-being.

We're here to pray with you both, and we'll continue to intercede for your friend's healing and restoration. Let's keep encouraging him, just as we're encouraged in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
