EMERGENCY PRAYER for Pablo to resist drugs now!

Please everyone take this prayer with You and ask the Holy Spirit to overpower Pablo's flesh and mind that keeps him enslaved to drugs!  I met him yesterday on our way to the Career Source center and he is 49 days sober after exiting jail.  He knows the word like a Pastor would and yet he has had a lifelong battle with alcohol, drugs and even the hideous crack cocaine.  He has a wife and two young children who need him.  I immediately prayed to the Lord and whined (in my head as I am hearing Pablo's story) "Lord why do You send me every poor and sick person when I cannot help them?"- but of course I know that prayers to our Lord God Almighty are truly the greatest currency us humans can muster, right?

Holy Spirit please flood Pablo's mind, heart and body with Your help to give him resistance to the cravings that he has fallen to over and over again.  Please hold him up to stay sober by Your help.  He has failed before but Lord if You just say the word he can win and stay sober this time for good.  He wants to, but as the Apostle Paul spoke of the battle with the "wretched body", we have empathy for the killer cravings of an addiction.  This time Lord put an end to Satan's ammunition to destroy this man who is Your child by helping him stand by Your strong right arm Lord!  Pick him up and carry him to sobriety Lord.  Let him have endless resources and sober friends like the Celebrate Recovery groups and give this man who knows Your word and delights in it a ministry instead of the madness of slavery to these drugs.  Hear the prayers of the righteous and do much good for Pablo and his family Lord!  Let THIS TIME be different and the sobriety stay in Jesus' name!  Let him get a job immediately and maybe a representative payee to keep his money and pay his bills and remove more of the temptation.  If this was my addiction Lord I would be so hopeless, I can't even give up caffeine!  Have mercy on Pablo and pull him out of the drug pit for good this time!  Amen!  2:07 pm 2/11/7

This is not what Jesus, said you could do. Jesus said;

Luke 10:19 (KJV)
19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
 

Is not all these afflictions the result of the power of the enemy, the demonic realm?  Believers have authority over all the power of the demonic realm.  Jesus had power over the enemy and what did He do?  He cast the demons out, He healed the sick, He cleansed the lepers, He raised the dead. 

Jesus said;

John 14:12-14 (KJV)
12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

The same things that Jesus did, believers can do, and "shall" do.  When we "ask" we are not begging, we are demanding that the gifts we have been given shall manifest in the person we are praying for.  We are commanding that God's Will be done on earth just as it is in heaven.  Believers are here to bring heaven to earth.  

Just like when Moses and the people of Israel needed to cross the sea.  God did not just cause the water to roll back because it was needed. The water did not roll back until Moses raised his rod over the waters. The water did not come into existence just because the Israelites needed it.  Moses had to strike the rock first before the water came out.  The healings that Jesus performed did not manifest just because the people needed healing.  Jesus had to speak first.  Lazarus was not raised from the dead until Jesus spoke.

If we want healing and bondages to manifest in a person, then we need to speak to it and command it to leave that person. 

Acts 3:6 is a prime example of what to do. 

 6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 

Read Acts 3:1-10 and  learn what Peter did.
