Embracing Change

Change is one of the most difficult things for people to face; however, change is inevitable. In fact, Mark Twain once said, “The only person who likes change is a wet baby.†One reason people don’t like change is because they get comfortable with where they are in life. They get used to their friends, job or the place they live. And even if it’s not perfect, they accept it simply because it’s familiar. However, when we are not willing to change, we get stuck in life holding on to what God did in the past instead of growing and moving forward into what God wants to do in the future.

Today, I encourage you to be open to the new things God has in store for you. Always remember that just because God has blessed you where you are doesn’t mean you can just sit back and settle there. God wants to do something new in you and through you. He wants to see you grow, prosper and flourish. Get ready and keep your heart focused on Him. Embrace change and see the blessing God has in store for you!

Father God,

Thank you for this message this morning. Please forgive me for complaining and desiring what I always had, a family, a husband who just may not have been happy. I don't know his side, I do know you have always provided for me and protected me. Please help me see you today and throughout my bible readings this week, let see your power in my life that I may follow you and remain in your will.

Father, today I loose the love I have held on for my marriage to you and the undying desire for my husband to return to you. I give everything I am holding to- to you and fall before your feet and beg your forgiveness before I climb to the top of the wall to pray.

Forgive my arrogance and self-righteousness because I know a little scriptures; help me to not judge not concondemn but love and show compassion. Lord I love you and always want to express your love for others; especially my sisters and brothers on this site.

Please don't give up on me and position me to be used by you. Lord YOU are my only source and I honor you today because you are my God.
