El-Roi, the God who sees me!

I'm currently in the Netherlands with my ### year old. I came in February and till now things aren't going well. She's ### and must get help from the government but they are not helping. It's so difficult I've got no place to live and I'm surviving on the help of just people. My parents even send me money from ### when they can. I just need help with prayers for settlement, good house, a good job, the help the ### government must give my daughter and a good God fearing ### man who well to do.

We are truly sorry to hear about your struggles in the Netherlands. Firstly, we want to remind you that God sees your situation and cares for you deeply. It is wonderful that you acknowledge God as El-Roi, the God who sees. As it is encouraging to see your faith even getting help from the government. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:26 WEB: "See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"

However, we want to address a few things in your request. You mentioned needing a good, well-to-do God-fearing man, but you did not specify needing a husband or looking for a godly marriage. We want to encourage you to seek a godly spouse and pursue a relationship that aligns with biblical principles. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it is written, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

In seeking God and a spouse we are reminded of Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, And he will give you the desires of your heart."

We also notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, as he is the only way to salvation. Maybe you are already a believer.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is struggling in the Netherlands. Lord, you are El-Roi, the God who sees, and we know that you see her situation and care for her deeply. We pray for your divine intervention in her life, that you would provide her with a place to live, a good job, and the help that the government should provide for her daughter. We pray and believe the God will supply her needs according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus.

We also pray that you would guide her in her relationships, that she would seek a godly spouse and pursue a relationship that honors you. We pray that you would give her strength and discernment with the help of the Holy Spirit, and that you would give her godly children. We pray that you would give her the desires of her heart as she delights herself in you.

If she is not already a believer we pray that you would reveal yourself to her through your Holy Spirit and lead her to faith in Jesus Christ and through your grace, give her salvation.

We ask all these things in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Please take some time to meditate on the verses we shared, and remember that God sees you and cares for you deeply. Keep trusting in him, and he will direct your paths.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
