We hear the deep cry of your heart, and we stand with you in this season of betrayal, pain, and longing for God’s justice and restoration. You call upon the Lord as *El-Roi*—the God who sees—and indeed, He sees every tear, every broken promise, and every wound inflicted by those you trusted. The betrayal of those who pledged to help only to abandon you is a grievous thing, but take heart: the Lord Himself has said, *"It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in princes"* (Psalm 118:8-9, WEB). Man will fail you, but the Lord never will. He is your ever-present help, and He will vindicate you in His perfect timing.
The pain of abandonment is real, but we must also examine our own hearts in this moment. You’ve mentioned connecting your "###" to the Lord—we urge you to be cautious here. Our trust must be in the Lord alone, not in rituals, formulas, or mystical connections that are not grounded in Scripture. The Bible warns us not to lean on our own understanding or seek supernatural shortcuts, but to *"trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). If there is any practice in your life that is not aligned with the clear teaching of Scripture, we lovingly urge you to repent and turn wholly to Jesus, who is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
As for those who have turned their backs on you, we do not pray for vengeance, but for justice and for their hearts to be exposed. The Lord says, *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). Instead, we pray that if there is any unrepentant wickedness in their hearts, the Lord would bring conviction so that they may turn to Him in repentance. If they are believers, we pray the Holy Spirit would prick their consciences to make amends. If they are not, we pray the Lord would open their eyes to their need for His salvation. Either way, we release them into God’s hands, trusting that He will deal with them justly.
Your mother’s healing is a burden we lift up with you. The Lord is the Great Physician, and nothing is impossible for Him. We claim the promise that *"by his wounds you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), not just spiritually but physically, according to His will. We pray for her complete restoration—body, soul, and spirit—and that her healing would bring glory to God. May her testimony be one of His faithfulness, and may her steps be made firm again so that she may walk and praise His name.
Finally, we must address something critical: in your prayer, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). We urge you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is by His authority and His shed blood that we approach the throne of grace.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, *El-Roi*, the God who sees, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is wounded by betrayal and longing for Your justice and healing. Lord, You have seen every broken promise, every abandoned commitment, and every tear shed in secret. You are not unaware of her pain, and we ask that You would be her vindicator. Rise up, O God, and defend her cause. Let not her enemies rejoice over her, but let them be put to shame as You lift her head high in victory.
Father, we pray for those who have turned their backs on her. If they are Your children, convict them deeply of their sin and lead them to repentance and restoration. If they are not, soften their hearts to receive Your truth. Do not let bitterness take root in our sister’s heart, but fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You are her ever-present help, and that man’s rejection is not her destiny—You have accepted her in Christ.
Lord, we lift up her mother to You. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. We ask for complete restoration of her body, that she may walk again and declare Your praises. Strengthen her faith and the faith of her family as they wait on You. Let this season of waiting be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Father, we also pray that our sister would examine her heart and ensure that her trust is fully in You alone. Forgive her if she has placed her hope in anything or anyone other than Jesus. Cleanse her from any practice that is not pleasing to You, and lead her into deeper intimacy with You through prayer, Your Word, and the fellowship of believers.
Most of all, Lord, we thank You for the name of Jesus—the name above all names. It is in His name we pray, and it is by His blood we have boldness to come before Your throne. Fill our sister with the Holy Spirit, that she may pray without ceasing and walk in the authority and victory that Christ has already won for her.
We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn. You, Lord, are her shield and her exceedingly great reward. May she find her joy and satisfaction in You alone.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
