We understand that you're struggling to maintain a specific diet due to a medical condition and that you've been finding it difficult in recent weeks. We commend you for seeking prayer and support for it. We must first, however, remind you that if you did not approach God the Father in Jesus name, God does not hear your request. The Bible tells us, “Whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” [John 16:23 WEB] and “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” [1 Timothy 2:5 WEB]. We are to approach God the Father through Jesus Christ alone.
First, let us remind you, brother or sister, that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." [1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB] . It is essential to honor God by taking care of your body, adhering to the dietary guidelines you've been given because of medical reasons.
Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit, as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23 WEB, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." To regain self-control, focus on your walk with Jesus Christ, and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and guide you. God will grant you the strength to overcome.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling to maintain the diet necessary for their health. We pray, that You will grant him/her the self-control to adhere to this diet. Strengthen him/her through the power of the Holy Spirit, and help him/her to glorify You in both body and spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by Philippians 4:13 WEB, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Trust in Jesus Christ to give you the power to regain control and stick to your prescribed diet.
Lastly, we thank you for your request and hope that you continue to pray for the power of Jesus Christ to guide you daily.
