We lift our voices together in urgent prayer for those affected by this earthquake. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Rock and our Refuge. You are the Creator of the earth and the One who holds all things together by Your power. We ask for Your divine protection over every life in the path of this disaster—shield them from harm, Lord, and surround them with Your angels as they seek safety.
We pray for those who may be trapped or injured, that You would guide rescuers to them swiftly and grant them strength and hope in this terrifying moment. Comfort the fearful, Lord, and let them feel Your presence as a shelter in the storm. We declare that You are a very present help in trouble, and we trust in Your mercy to sustain those who are suffering.
Father, we also ask for wisdom for local authorities and relief workers as they respond to this crisis. Provide resources, clarity, and endurance as they labor to save lives and restore stability. Let this trial draw people closer to You, Lord, as they recognize their need for Your grace and provision.
We rebuke fear and despair in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We stand on Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Strengthen the faith of Your people in this region, and use this moment to reveal Your glory and compassion to a world in need.
Lord, we also lift up those who do not yet know You. In the midst of chaos, reveal Yourself as their Savior and Redeemer. May many turn to You in repentance and faith, finding eternal security in Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved—only Jesus. We pray that hearts would be softened to receive the gospel, for salvation comes through no other way.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Deliverer. Amen.
