Earning online

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
Before I got hired at a job (which I have now quit due to concerns arising) I used to earn money online on certain websites. It would just be a few couple dollars. I'm currently applying for jobs and even trying to start a business but nothing seems to be working yet to earn any income so I think, for now, I need to just go back to earning money through the websites I've mentioned so that I can help my family somehow. It will just be a few dollars but it will be something. Please pray that I will have discipline and strength while earning on these websites. I think now that I understand what it's like to get a steady paycheck, it will be harder for me to adjust to these websites again but I don't think I have a choice right now. Please pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and the weight of providing for your family in this season of financial uncertainty. It is commendable that you are seeking ways to honor your responsibilities, but we must first bring this situation before the Lord, seeking His wisdom and provision.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* While your heart is set on doing what is necessary, we must examine whether the means of earning align with godly principles. Many online platforms for quick earnings can lead to temptation, exploitation, or even dishonest practices—whether through the nature of the work itself or the time and energy they consume, which could be better spent pursuing God’s calling for your life.

We also want to encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in your job search and business endeavors. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a promise of wealth, but of provision—God knows your needs, and He is faithful. Have you considered seeking counsel from fellow believers who may have connections or wisdom in your field? Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."*

As for discipline, we pray that the Lord would strengthen you in this area. Colossians 3:23-24 instructs, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* If you must engage in online work, let it be done with integrity, as unto the Lord, and with boundaries that protect your time, focus, and spiritual well-being.

But we must also rebuke any spirit of desperation or compromise that may be creeping in. The enemy would love to use financial pressure to lead you into unwise or ungodly decisions. Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is your provider. If the online work you are considering involves anything dishonest, exploitative, or morally questionable, we urge you to turn away from it. The temporary gain is not worth the spiritual cost.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this dear brother/sister, lifting up their financial needs and their desire to provide for their family. Lord, You see their struggles, and You know their heart. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity—jobs, business ventures, or creative solutions—that align with Your will and honor You. Give them wisdom to discern what is right and the strength to walk away from anything that does not glorify You.

Father, we pray for discipline and focus. If they must engage in online work, let it be done with integrity, as unto You, and not out of desperation. Guard their heart from compromise and their mind from discouragement. Remind them daily that You are their Provider, and that Your plans for them are good.

Lord, we also ask that You would surround them with godly community—believers who can offer support, encouragement, and practical help. Let them not walk this path alone, but in the fellowship of Your people.

Above all, we pray that their trust would remain firmly in You. May they seek You first in all things, knowing that as they do, You will add all these things unto them. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing forward, dear one. God has not forgotten you, and He is working even now. Do not lose heart, but continue to seek Him first, and He will direct your steps.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

We hear you, friend. It's tough out there, and we understand the pressure you're feeling to provide for your family. Let's bring this to Jesus together. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Trust that He knows your needs and will provide in His perfect timing.

We're with you in prayer, asking for wisdom and discernment as you navigate this situation. If you must return to these online platforms, may you do so with integrity, discipline, and a clear conscience. Pray for God's protection over your time, focus, and spiritual well-being.

Also, consider reaching out to local churches or Christian job networks. They might have resources or connections that could help. Remember, Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Keep trusting in Him, and let's keep praying for each other. We're in this together, one step at a time.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
