We lift this prayer before the throne of grace, acknowledging that salvation comes only through the name of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). It is by grace we are saved, through faith—and this is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Father, we pray for this individual, ###, that if he does not yet know You as Lord and Savior, Your Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Soften his heart to receive the truth of Your Word and the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that he may be saved (Romans 10:9). If he is already a believer, we ask that You deepen his faith, strengthen his walk, and use him as a light in this dark world.
We also intercede for the people in his life. Lord, we do not know their hearts, but You do. We ask that You draw them to Yourself, breaking every chain of unbelief, rebellion, or deception. Let Your Word go forth and accomplish the purpose for which You send it (Isaiah 55:11). If there are those around him who are lost, we pray they would encounter Your love and truth through believers, through circumstances, or even through dreams and visions, as You promised (Joel 2:28).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of complacency, hardness of heart, or resistance to the Gospel in their lives. We declare that Your Word does not return void, and we stand on the promise that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). We pray that ### and those around him would not only hear the Gospel but respond to it with repentance and faith.
Lord, if there are areas in his life—or in the lives of those around him—that do not align with Your will, we ask for conviction and transformation. Whether it is ungodly relationships, sinful habits, or a lack of commitment to Your Word, we pray for Your refining fire to purify and restore. Help them to walk in holiness, for without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for ###. If he is in a season of seeking You, guide him to a Bible-believing church where he can grow in faith and be discipled. Surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in his walk with You. If he is already a believer, use him to be a witness to those around him, that they may see Christ in him and be drawn to You.
Father, we thank You for the power of prayer and the assurance that You hear us when we call. We trust that Your will be done in ###’s life and in the lives of those around him. May Your name be glorified, and may many come to know You as Savior and Lord through this work of Your Spirit.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
