We hear your heartfelt cry for this individual, and we join you in lifting them before the throne of grace. Salvation is a profound and personal work of the Holy Spirit, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved. The Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We must always remember that it is not by our own works or efforts, but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Let us pray together for this soul:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up this individual who may not yet know You as their Lord and Savior. We ask, Lord, that You would open their eyes to see the truth of Your Word and the reality of their need for a Savior. Soften their heart, Lord, and draw them to Yourself, for no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). We pray that they would hear the Gospel message clearly and respond in repentance and faith.
Father, we rebuke any spiritual blindness or hardness of heart that may be keeping them from seeing the truth. We declare that the god of this world has no hold over them, and we break any chains of deception in the mighty name of Jesus (2 Corinthians 4:4). We pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and that they would turn to You with all their heart.
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with godly influences—believers who will share the love of Christ with them and live out the Gospel in a way that is compelling and true. May they see the light of Christ in the lives of Your people and be drawn to the hope that is found only in You.
We also pray for wisdom and boldness for those who will share the Gospel with them. May they speak the truth in love, always ready to give an answer for the hope that they have (1 Peter 3:15). Father, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. We know that You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4), and so we ask that You would move mightily in this person’s life.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for this individual, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it. Share the Gospel with them in love, and live out your faith in a way that reflects the transforming power of Christ. Remember, it is not our job to save them—only God can do that—but we are called to be faithful witnesses and to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). May the Lord bless you as you seek to honor Him in this situation.
