We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the cry for salvation and deliverance. First, we must address the foundation of all prayer—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If those you are praying for do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we join you in pleading for their souls, that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, draw them to repentance, and reveal the truth of the Gospel to them.
Father God, we cry out for the lost—those who are perishing without the hope of Christ. We ask that You break the chains of spiritual blindness and open their eyes to see the light of Your truth. Soften their hearts to receive the message of salvation, that they may turn from their sins and place their faith in Jesus alone. We declare that no one is beyond Your reach, and we trust in Your power to save even the hardest of hearts. Romans 10:13 assures us, *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."* Let this promise be fulfilled in their lives, Lord.
We also stand with you in prayer for deliverance from demonic influences and tormenting memories. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every unclean spirit that has attached itself to these memories, sounds, or influences. We command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). You are not alone in this battle—greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, we ask that You cleanse your child’s mind and heart from every residue of darkness. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Replace those tormenting memories with the truth of Your Word. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit."* Let them feel Your nearness, Lord, and experience the freedom that comes from being washed in the blood of the Lamb.
We also encourage you to take practical steps in this spiritual battle. Renew your mind daily with Scripture, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Surround yourself with godly fellowship, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And if these demonic influences persist, seek out mature believers or a pastor who can stand with you in prayer and provide biblical counsel.
Lord, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen this dear one to walk in the freedom You have purchased for them. May they live as a testimony of Your power and grace, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. Amen.
