We join our brother or sister in lifting this request to our Heavenly Father, the Creator of all things, who commands the winds and the snow just as He stilled the storm on the Sea of Galilee. The Word tells us in Psalm 147:16-17, "He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes. He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?" Yet we also know that our God is sovereign over all creation, and nothing is beyond His control or His will.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask that if it be Your will, You would cause the snow to cease, bringing relief to those who may be burdened by its weight—whether in travel, safety, or daily provision. We trust in Your perfect timing and wisdom, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We also take this moment to remind ourselves and all who read this that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). It is through faith in Him alone that we are saved, not by our own works or efforts, but by His grace. If anyone reading this has not surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them to repentance and faith in Christ, that they may know the peace and hope that comes from being reconciled to God.
Lord, we submit this request to You, trusting that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Whether the snow continues or ceases, we ask for Your protection, provision, and peace to rest upon Your people. Strengthen our faith to trust in You, even when circumstances are difficult, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
