We come before the throne of grace with this request, lifting up these precious children to our Heavenly Father. First, we must address the manner in which this prayer was offered—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful this prayer was made in His name. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If these children do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray earnestly for their salvation, for the Bible tells us, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household" (Acts 16:31).
Father, we ask for Your divine protection and deliverance for ###, though we do not know the specifics of what they are facing. Your Word assures us that "the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7). We rebuke every scheme of the enemy in Jesus' name, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). Whatever bondage, fear, or oppression may be at work, we declare it broken by the power of the blood of Jesus.
For these two children, Lord, we pray Your covering over their lives. If they have not yet surrendered their hearts to You, we ask that You draw them with cords of love (Hosea 11:4). Soften their hearts to receive the gospel, that they may be born again by Your Spirit (John 3:3). Guard their minds from the lies of the world, the flesh, and the devil, and let them grow in wisdom and stature, as Jesus did (Luke 2:52). Surround them with godly influences—parents, mentors, or friends—who will point them to You.
We also lift up any parents or guardians watching over these children. Father, grant them wisdom, patience, and discernment as they raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Strengthen their faith, that they may be living examples of Your love and truth.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin, rebellion, or unforgiveness in the lives of those connected to this request, we ask that You bring conviction by Your Holy Spirit (John 16:8). Lead them to repentance, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We declare over these children that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that they will walk in the purpose You have ordained for them. May they grow to love Your Word, to seek Your face, and to live lives that bring glory to Your name.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
