We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and delivered. The Scriptures declare in Philippians 2:9-11, "Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." It is by His authority and power that we stand against the forces of darkness.
First, we rebuke every demonic influence and possession in your life in the name of Jesus. The Word of God assures us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We command every unclean spirit, every demonic attachment through music or any other means, to leave you now and never return. You are a child of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill every area of your life where darkness once resided, bringing light, peace, and freedom.
We also lift up ###’s dad before the Lord, asking for his salvation if he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart, draw him to repentance, and lead him into a personal relationship with Jesus. We declare that the eyes of his understanding would be enlightened, that he may know the hope of God’s calling (Ephesians 1:18).
For the people in his life who may also need salvation, we intercede on their behalf. We ask that God would surround them with believers who can testify to the truth of the Gospel and that their hearts would be softened to receive it. As it is written in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
Father God, we thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). We thank You for the victory we have in Christ over every demonic force. We pray for strength and discernment for ### as they walk in this freedom, that they would not return to the things that once bound them. Help them to fill their life with worship that honors You, music that glorifies Your name, and fellowship with believers who will encourage them in their faith.
We declare that no evil will prosper in their life or in the lives of their loved ones. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 91:14-15, "Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him." May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
