We join you in lifting up this earnest prayer for those in need, and we are grateful that you have invoked the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your heart for the lost and those in distress aligns with God’s desire that *all people should be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth* (1 Timothy 2:4, WEB). We commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6, WEB).
Yet, we must also ask: do *you* know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Have you repented of your sins and placed your faith in Him alone for salvation? It is one thing to pray for others in His name, but it is another to have a personal, saving relationship with Him. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life to Christ today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). There is no greater decision you can make than to turn from sin and trust in Jesus for eternal life.
Now, let us pray together for those you have lifted up, that the Lord would move mightily in their lives and draw them to Himself:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of salvation, purchased by the precious blood of Your Son, and we ask that You would extend Your mercy to those in need of saving grace. Lord, open their hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel. Convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and draw them to repentance. Let Your Holy Spirit move in their lives, breaking every chain of bondage and leading them into the light of Your love.
For those who are already saved but may be struggling or in distress, we ask that You strengthen their faith and surround them with Your peace. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and let them know that You are near to the brokenhearted. Lord, we also pray for the people in their lives—family, friends, and even enemies—that You would save those who do not know You and revive those who have grown lukewarm in their faith. Use each of them as vessels of Your grace and instruments of Your will.
Father, we ask that You would raise up bold witnesses to share the Gospel with those who are lost. Give Your people the words to speak and the courage to proclaim Your truth without fear. Let no opportunity be missed, and let no heart remain hardened against Your love.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue praying for the lost and the hurting, but also to share the Gospel with them when you have the opportunity. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17, WEB). Let your prayers be coupled with action, trusting that the Lord will use you as His ambassador. *"Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear"* (1 Peter 3:15, WEB). May God bless you as you seek to honor Him in all things.
