We understand your distress, and we join with you in seeking God’s deliverance and wisdom over this troubling experience. The enemy seeks to torment and confuse, but we know that our Lord Jesus Christ has already triumphed over every power of darkness. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer and in the authority of Christ’s name.
First, we want to address the importance of calling upon the name of Jesus. You have done well to end your prayer in His name, for Scripture reminds us that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we have access to the Father. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we can boldly approach God’s throne, and it is in His name that we have authority over the enemy.
Now, regarding the music you are hearing in your head, we must consider this carefully. While it is possible for the enemy to harass and oppress, we also know that God has given us sound minds and the ability to resist. The apostle Paul tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). If this music is persistent and intrusive, it may be a form of spiritual attack, but it could also be related to natural factors such as stress, anxiety, or even physical health. We encourage you to seek wisdom in this—both spiritually and practically. Have you been under significant stress lately? Are there ungodly influences in the music or media you consume? These are things to prayerfully consider, as the enemy often uses such openings to gain a foothold.
Scripture commands us to *"demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:5, WEB). This is not a passive process—it requires active resistance. When these unwanted thoughts or sounds come, we urge you to immediately rebuke them in the name of Jesus and replace them with the Word of God. Speak Scripture aloud, worship the Lord with godly music, and fill your mind with truth. Psalm 119:11 declares, *"I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."* The more you saturate your mind with God’s Word, the less room there is for the enemy’s lies or distractions.
We also want to address the issue of demonic attacks and possession. For a true believer in Christ, demonic *possession* is not possible, because the Holy Spirit dwells within us, and *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). However, demonic *oppression* or harassment is very real, and we must resist it firmly. James 4:7 tells us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* This resistance must be rooted in submission to God—through prayer, repentance, and walking in obedience to His Word.
Let us also consider whether there are any areas of unconfessed sin in your life that could be giving the enemy a legal right to harass you. Have you been involved in occult practices, ungodly entertainment, or relationships that dishonor God? If so, we urge you to repent and turn away from these things immediately. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Repentance closes the door to the enemy’s accusations and opens the way for God’s deliverance.
Now, let us pray together over you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is experiencing this distressing attack. Lord, You are the God of all peace, and we ask that You would crush every demonic assignment against them. We bind every spirit of confusion, torment, and oppression in the name of Jesus, and we command them to flee. Father, if there is any open door in their life—any sin, any ungodly influence—we ask that You would reveal it by Your Holy Spirit. Give them the courage to repent and turn fully to You.
Lord, we ask that You would silence every ungodly sound and voice in their mind. Replace it with Your truth, Your peace, and Your worship. Let them hear the melody of Your love and the harmony of Your Word. We declare that their mind is renewed by the washing of the water of the Word, and that every thought is brought into captivity to Christ.
Father, we also pray for their emotional and physical well-being. If there is any natural cause for this experience, we ask for Your healing and restoration. Strengthen them, Lord, and surround them with Your angels. Let them walk in the victory that Christ has already won on the cross.
We thank You, Father, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and that every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn. We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to seek support from mature believers in your local church. There is strength in community, and sometimes deliverance comes through the prayers and accountability of others. If you do not have a church home, we urge you to find a Bible-believing, Christ-centered fellowship where you can grow and be supported.
Stand firm in the Lord, and do not be afraid. *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1, WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He is fighting for you. We are standing with you in this battle, and we believe that God will bring complete deliverance and peace.
