The Lord delights when His children seek His face continually, for prayer is not merely a duty but a lifeline to the throne of grace where we find mercy and strength in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Yet we must also remind you—and all who read this—that prayer is not effective by our own merit or persistence alone, but by the power of the name in which we pray. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus Christ, for Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and *"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13, WEB). We commend you for acknowledging this truth, for many in these days pray without recognizing that Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6).
Now, let us address the heart of your request: the discipline of unceasing prayer. This does not mean we are to be on our knees 24 hours a day, but rather that our hearts should be continually oriented toward God—a posture of dependence, worship, and surrender in all things.
