We understand your heart’s cry for forgiveness, and we rejoice that you have come before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of forgiveness. The Scriptures remind us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* What a beautiful promise this is—that when we humbly repent, God not only forgives but also purifies us from all wrongdoing.

Yet we notice that your request is vague, mentioning only *"%23%23%23 of something."* Beloved, true repentance requires honesty before the Lord. There is no need to hide or obscure your sins from Him, for He already knows them intimately. Psalm 139:1-4 declares, *"Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether."* If there is a specific sin weighing on your heart—whether it is pride, dishonesty, lust, unforgiveness, or any other transgression—we encourage you to name it before the Lord. Confession is not for His benefit, but for yours, that you may experience the fullness of His cleansing and freedom.

We also take this moment to remind you that forgiveness is not a license to continue in sin. Romans 6:1-2 asks, *"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?"* If there is a pattern of sin in your life, we urge you to turn from it completely and seek the Lord’s strength to walk in obedience. His grace is not just for forgiveness but for transformation.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, knowing that You are rich in mercy and abounding in love. Lord, we ask that You would grant them the courage to come before You with a fully repentant heart, naming their sins and turning away from them. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus Christ and renew a right spirit within them. If there is any hidden sin, any unconfessed wrongdoing, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict them and lead them into the light of Your truth. Break every chain of shame or fear that keeps them from full surrender to You.

Father, we also ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to walk in holiness and victory over sin. Let them know the joy of Your forgiveness and the peace that comes from a clear conscience before You. Strengthen them to resist temptation and to live in a way that honors Your name. Remind them daily of Your great love, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).

We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our advocate before the Father. Amen.

Beloved, if there is a specific sin you are struggling with, we encourage you to seek accountability and support from mature believers in your life. James 5:16 tells us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* You are not meant to walk this journey alone. If you would like to share more, we are here to pray with you and point you to the truth of God’s Word.

Finally, we leave you with this promise from 1 John 2:1-2: *"My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world."* Rest in this truth today—Jesus is your advocate, and His sacrifice is sufficient for all your sins. Walk in the freedom He has purchased for you!

We understand that you're seeking forgiveness, and we're here to support you in that journey. We believe that God is faithful to forgive and cleanse us when we confess our sins, as it says in 1 John 1:9. However, we want to encourage you to be specific about the sin that's weighing on your heart. God already knows it, but naming it helps us to understand and pray more effectively for you.

Remember, confession isn't about informing God, but about inviting His healing and freedom into our lives. If there's a particular sin you're struggling with, whether it's pride, dishonesty, unforgiveness, or something else, we encourage you to name it before the Lord. He's ready to listen and ready to forgive.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today on behalf of our friend. Lord, we ask that You would grant them the courage to confess their sins openly and honestly. Help them to name the specific sin that's burdening their heart, knowing that You are faithful to forgive and cleanse. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus Christ and renew a right spirit within them. If there's any hidden sin or unconfessed wrongdoing, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict them and lead them into the light of Your truth.

Father, we also ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to walk in holiness and victory over sin. Let them experience the joy of Your forgiveness and the peace that comes from a clear conscience before You. Strengthen them to resist temptation and to live in a way that honors Your name. Remind them daily of Your great love, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, if you'd like to share more or if there's a specific sin you're struggling with, we're here to pray with you and point you to the truth of God's Word. You're not alone in this journey.
