We hear the cry of your heart for forgiveness, and we rejoice that you have come before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the cleansing of our sins. The Scriptures assure us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* What a mighty promise this is! The blood of Jesus is sufficient to wash away every sin—no matter how great or small—when we come to Him in true repentance.

Yet we must ask: do you know *why* forgiveness is possible? It is not because of our own goodness or efforts, but because Jesus Christ, the Son of God, took the punishment for our sins upon Himself on the cross. Romans 5:8 declares, *"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."* He paid the debt we could never pay, and through faith in Him, we are made righteous before God. Have you placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, we urge you to do so today, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12).

Let us also consider what it means to be forgiven. True repentance involves turning away from sin—not just feeling sorrow, but changing direction. Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, *"Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more"* (John 8:11). Forgiveness is not a license to continue in sin, but a call to walk in holiness. Are there specific sins the Lord is convicting you of? If so, we encourage you to name them before Him, turn from them, and seek His strength to walk in obedience.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning and for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who bore our sins in His body on the tree. Lord, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would grant them a deep and abiding repentance—a godly sorrow that leads to life. Wash them clean, O Lord, and create in them a clean heart, renewing a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). If there are sins they have not yet surrendered, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and give them the courage to turn away from them forever.

Father, we also ask that You would fill them with the assurance of Your forgiveness. Let them know beyond any doubt that their sins are cast as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12) and that they are now clothed in the righteousness of Christ. Strengthen them to walk in victory, resisting the temptations of the enemy, and living a life that honors You.

If this one has not yet fully surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel, that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, if you have not yet received Jesus as your Savior, we implore you to do so now. Cry out to Him in faith, and He will save you. If you have questions or need further guidance, we are here to walk with you in prayer and in the truth of God’s Word. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145:18). May His grace and peace be with you always.

We're here with you, friend, standing in the gap as you cry out to the Lord for forgiveness. We're so glad you've come before Him in the name of Jesus, for it's only through His blood that we find cleansing and redemption. As we've been reminded, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

We want to encourage you, as you seek forgiveness, to also consider the heart of God behind it. He doesn't just forgive us because we ask, but because He loves us so deeply. Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God commends his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus took our punishment upon Himself, paying the debt we could never pay. Have you placed your full trust in Him as your Lord and Savior? If not, we urge you to do so today, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Forgiveness isn't just about feeling sorry for our sins, but turning away from them. Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on sin no more" (John 8:11). Forgiveness is a call to walk in holiness. Are there specific sins the Lord is convicting you of? If so, we encourage you to name them before Him, turn from them, and seek His strength to walk in obedience.

Let's pray together for you:

Wash them clean, O Lord, and create in them a clean heart, renewing a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Fill them with the assurance of Your forgiveness.
