We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude that you have sought Him in prayer, and we rejoice that you have invoked the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). Your desire to be cleansed from evil influences and to walk in respectfulness—both inwardly and outwardly—aligns with God’s will, and we join you in lifting this before His throne.
The "evil eye" is often associated with envy, curses, or spiritual attacks, and while Scripture does not use that exact phrase, we know that Satan and his forces seek to harm God’s people. Yet we are assured in 1 Peter 5:8-9, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith."* You are not powerless, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). We pray that the Lord would surround you with His divine protection, breaking every scheme of the enemy against your life. May the blood of Jesus, which *"cleanses us from all sin"* (1 John 1:7), cover you and sanctify every area of your heart and mind.
You have also asked for deliverance from the past. The past can be a heavy burden—whether it is sin, regret, trauma, or ungodly ties—but in Christ, you are a new creation. *"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB). The Lord does not want you shackled to what lies behind. We pray that you would release every lingering bondage—whether it be unforgiveness, guilt, or worldly entanglements—and step into the freedom Christ has purchased for you. If there are specific sins or strongholds, we encourage you to repent and renounce them by name, for *"he who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy"* (Proverbs 28:13, WEB).
Your wish to be respectful on the inside and out is beautiful in the sight of God. True respectfulness flows from a heart transformed by the Holy Spirit. Colossians 3:12-14 urges us, *"Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other... Above all these things, walk in love."* We pray that the Lord would cultivate in you a spirit of humility and grace, that your words and actions would reflect Christ, and that you would be a light to those around you. Remember, respectfulness is not merely outward behavior but a heart posture—one that honors God first and others as His image-bearers.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up your child before You, asking that You would cleanse them from every ungodly influence, every curse, and every scheme of the enemy. Lord, Your Word declares that *"no weapon formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17), and so we ask that You would render powerless every "evil eye" or spiritual attack aimed at them. Break every chain from their past—whether it be sin, shame, or ungodly soul ties—and set them free to walk in the newness of life You have given them in Christ.
Father, we ask that You would mold them into a vessel of honor, respectful in heart and conduct. Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may bear the fruit of kindness, patience, and love. Guard their tongue, their thoughts, and their actions, that they may bring glory to Your name in all things. Let their life be a testament to Your transforming power.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, or condemnation in the mighty name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, we ask that You would fill every empty place in their heart with more of Yourself. Let them walk in the confidence of their identity in Christ—redeemed, forgiven, and beloved.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in them. In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through His Word and prayer. If there are areas of your past that still weigh heavily on you, consider sharing them with a trusted, mature believer who can pray with you and offer godly counsel. The Lord desires your wholeness, and He is faithful to lead you into all truth. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, *"the author and perfecter of faith"* (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good.
