We rejoice with you as you seek forgiveness and desire to move forward in your walk with Christ. It is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is by His name that we are saved and have access to the Father. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
The Bible assures us that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). So, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has humbly sought Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. You do not treat us as our sins deserve (Psalm 103:8, 10 WEB). We ask that You grant them the forgiveness they seek, and help them to move forward, freed from the burden of past mistakes. Guide their steps and help them to live a life pleasing to You, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Moving on from the past is a process, and God is with you every step of the way. Remember that you are a new creation in Christ, old things have passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
As you move forward, strive to live a life holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1 WEB). Stay strong in faith and in the word of God. May the Lord richly bless you on your journey.
