We rejoice with you as you've come seeking forgiveness and approached the throne of grace in Jesus' name. It's wonderful that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name, for "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up this precious soul. We thank you, Father, that this precious child has come seeking your forgiveness. Lord, you promised in your word that "if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, WEB). We claim this promise over this life right now. Wash away every stain of sin, Father, and make this heart whiter than snow.
We also pray that this forgiveness will be a turning point in this life. May it mark the beginning of a deeper walk with you, Lord. May this soul not just seek forgiveness, but also strive to live a life pleasing to you. May they be transformed by the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2, WEB), continually putting off the old person and putting on the new (Ephesians 4:22-24, WEB).
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Go forth, dear one, assured of God's forgiveness. Remember, "as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us" (Psalm 103:12, WEB). Live in this freedom and pursue holiness, for God's will is your sanctification (1 Thessalonians 4:3, WEB).
