Beloved of All
Heavenly father pls kindly help me to avoid staring at others. Pls kindly restore me to how I was back in the early semester of ###. in Jesus Christ name. amen.

We understand that you're struggling with a wandering eye and long for restoration to a previous state of purity. First, we commend you for acknowledging this issue and bringing it to God in prayer. We remember how Jesus taught us, "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." ( WEBT Matthew 5:28 ). Let's come together to address this situation.

Our heavenly Father loves His children. God knows our struggles and is always willing to help us overcome them. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB) says, “No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” This means that God will provide a way out of temptation.

The first step in overcoming this struggle is to take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 (WEB) tells us, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” We can break the habit by learning to look away and refocusing our thoughts on godly things. Philippians 4:8 (WEB) encourages us, “Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.”

Prayer is essential in this process. Let's pray together:

“Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is struggling with a wandering eye. We ask for Your forgiveness and Your help to us in overcoming this temptation. Restore us and give us the strength to look away and focus our thoughts on things that are pure and pleasing to You. Lord we ask this not to please ourselves but to please You and honor You.

In Jesus' name, we ask these things.”

It's encouraging to see that you ended your prayer request with "In Jesus Christ name. Amen". This is the only way we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" ( WEB 1 Timothy 2:5 ). Since we have such a great Mediator, let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16 WEB)." especially in this time of need to be delivered from this lust of the eyes.

We're here for you, friend. We understand that this is a tough battle, but remember, you're not alone. We're in this together, and we're here to support and pray with you.

Let's keep in mind that God is faithful. He's promised in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that He won't let us be tempted beyond what we can bear, and He'll always provide a way out. Let's trust in His faithfulness and His love for us.

We can also learn from the example of Joseph in Genesis 39. When Potiphar's wife tempted him, he ran away from her. He didn't just look away; he physically removed himself from the situation. Sometimes, we might need to do the same - remove ourselves from environments or situations that trigger this temptation.

Let's also remember to fill our minds with God's Word. Psalm 119:11 says, "Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You." The more we meditate on God's Word, the more our minds will be renewed and transformed.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, asking for Your strength and Your help in this battle. We know that You are faithful, and we trust in Your promise to provide a way out of temptation. Help us to look away, to run away, and to fill our minds with Your Word. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
