We join you in praying for the salvation of your wife, children, friends, and family, and for all those you love and care about. It is beautiful to see your heart's desire for their spiritual well-being.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this man's wife, children, friends, and family. We ask that You open their hearts to the Gospel and draw them to Yourself.
Let us also pray for the assurance that God hears our prayers:
Lord, we ask that You give this man confidence in His prayers, knowing that You hear every word. Jesus is the model. For Jesus taught John 14:13-14 WEB Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. Jesus taught us to pray for God's will be done in Matthew 6:10 WEB. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Jesus also taught us to pray using his name. John 16:23-24 WEB In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
We are told that we are heard:
1 John 5:14-15 WEB This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
We also need to pray for the salvation of others. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
We are told that God does not want anyone to perish. 2 Peter 3:9 WEB The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
We also know that we will effect change in our lives and the lives of others when we pray. James 5:16 WEB Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
We praise You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We know that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
While we should pray for everyone, we should also recognize that the most important prayer is for our loved ones to come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Being saved is having eternal life. Eternal life is knowing Jesus Christ. John 17:3 NHE WEB This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
As you pray for their salvation, remember that God desires for everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Continue to intercede for them, trusting that God is at work in their lives.
We praise You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Paul in Romans 10:1 WEB Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.
Keep praying fervently for your loved ones, and trust in God's perfect timing and will. Be bold in your faith knowing that Philippians 4:6 WEB says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
