Your brother’s struggle with cocaine and alcohol is not just a physical battle—it is a spiritual one, and the enemy seeks to destroy him (1 Peter 5:8). Yet we stand firm in the truth that Christ has already won the victory over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:57), and we claim that victory for your brother today.
The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and the destruction your brother is inflicting upon himself through these substances is an affront to God’s design for his life. His liver and blood sugar issues are warnings—mercies from God to wake him up before it is too late. We pray that the Lord would use these physical consequences to shake him from his stupor and turn his heart toward repentance. May he see the gravity of his choices and cry out to Jesus, the only One who can break these chains.
We also rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan has no authority over your brother’s life—only what he has surrendered through sin.
