We understand that you are seeking guidance and help in your career path, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. Firstly, we commend you for seeking employment and having goals for your future. We also note that you have mentioned Jesus' name in your prayer, which is essential because, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible is clear about the power of Jesus' name in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."
Regarding your experiences, we want to address a few things biblically. You mentioned that you were discriminated against and mistreated at your previous job at the zoo. We want to encourage you with 1 Peter 2:21-23, "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps, who did not sin, 'neither was deceit found in his mouth.' Who, when he was reviled, did not revile in return. When he suffered, he did not threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously."
In dealing with difficult people, the Bible advises us in Romans 12:17-19, "Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Concerning the LGBT/Catholic issues and possibly being aware of and testifying against sin, we should be clear about what we support and stand against. But we should do so using the Bible and not general opinion. The Bible is clear about the sin of homosexuality in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God."
We also want to remind you that God does not show favoritism, and we should not either. Acts 10:34-35 states, "Then Peter opened his mouth and said, 'Truly I perceive that God does not show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.'"
Regarding your desire to be part of Christian media, that is commendable. We encourage you to seek God's will in this area. If it is His will, He will open the doors for you. As for your voiceover project, we pray that if it is God's will, He will bring it to fruition in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister in need of guidance and help in their career path. Lord, we pray that You would direct their steps and open the doors that You would have them go through. We pray that You would provide them with a job that aligns with Your will, whether it be at the zoo, the school, or in Christian media.
We also pray for healing from the past experiences of discrimination and mistreatment. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, as You have forgiven us. We pray for patience and wisdom in dealing with difficult people, and we ask that You would bring godly friends and a godly spouse into their life to support and encourage them.
Lord, we pray for their voiceover project, that if it is Your will, You would bring it to life and use it for Your glory. We ask that You would provide for all of their needs according to Your riches in glory.
We pray all of these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
"Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:14
