We hear your heart’s cry for God’s peace and protection over your dreams, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s covering through the night. The Bible reminds us that the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and his attacks often come in moments of vulnerability, including when we sleep. But we take comfort in the truth that God neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is our ever-present guard (Psalm 121:3-4). We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, or torment that may seek to invade your rest, and we declare that the blood of Jesus covers your mind, your heart, and your dreams.
Scripture assures us that when we lie down, we will not be afraid, and our sleep will be sweet because the Lord sustains us (Proverbs 3:24). We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill your mind with visions of His goodness, His promises, and His truth as you sleep. May the Lord surround you with His angels, as He did for Elisha, so that no weapon formed against you in the spiritual realm will prosper (2 Kings 6:16-17). We also encourage you to meditate on God’s Word before sleep, for the psalmist declares, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety” (Psalm 4:8).
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we ask You to station Your angels around this dear one as they sleep. Let no evil thing come near their dwelling, and let their dreams be filled with Your peace, Your presence, and Your purposes. We bind every spirit of nightmares, anxiety, or oppression and command them to flee in Jesus’ name. Fill their mind with Your truth, Lord, so that even in sleep, their spirit is anchored in You. We thank You for Your faithfulness and declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they wake each morning refreshed, renewed, and reminded of Your unfailing love. We pray this believing in the power of the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.
