Peter was walking on the water, then looked at the waves, and began to sink. But I noticed that not all "waves " sent to us are physical waves. In my case, whenever I try to get to a goal, before I even get off the ground with it, here come the distractions:some in the moment, hardnose experience {which has nothing to do with my goal} will pop up,needs to taken care of, and take my mind off of my going forward towards my goal.OR, if not that, someone will bend my ear about mundane things , taking my mind off the goal..OR someone needs something at just that time.OR the cell phone will ring, and the person will get me involved in some mundane thing that has nothing to do with my goal, and takes time away from it..That's my "waves".Distractions. And I don't think it's a coincidence, I think the devil knows when we want to do something to improve ourselves, so he tries to sidetrack us.I guess we have to be just as unyielding as him,and keep our eyes on the prize.Amen.
