Don't get it Twisted: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- Ephesians 2:8

” it came about as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground that was under them split open; and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up … and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.”
Numbers 16: 31-33 (NASB)

The Bible is chock-full of stories illustrating events painting extraordinary subliminal portraits depicting examples of God’s judgment. The original example of God handing down judgment occurred when the first man and woman (Adam & Eve) disobeyed Him by eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The first act of judgment is of great significance because Adam & Eve’s sin created somewhat of a residual effect by bringing about generational curses for as long as the world exists. Their disobedience is also a perfect illustration of how sin affects people other than the one who initiated it.

(Genesis 3: 14-41) God banished the first couple (Adam & Eve) from the Garden of Eden for violating His clear command not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Certainly, one would think that after the Lord banished Adam & Eve from the garden of Eden nobody else would dare disobey God. In contrast, this was not the case. Instead, God’s people became embolden in their displays of disobedience.

How will I be judged should be a question on the mind of every Christian. "Knowing that God does not see as we see, think as we do, nor reason according to man's perception should give us pause."

Suppose you spend a lifetime perfecting what you believed to be right and on judgement day it turns out to be all wrong?"

The only way to avoid meeting God while on the wrong side of the fence is by studying His Word, obeying His Word, and admitting that without His grace receiving Salvation is absolutely impossible.

I don't care how religious you think you are? God knows that you are a long way from being a Saint? This is why we must not allow Satan to puff our heads with "pride and arrogance" because he will leave abandon us as soon as we allow these evil spirits to take over our lives. Don't be fooled. God's people are riddled with imperfection? You, me and the whole world are at His mercy!

Again, Don't get it Twisted: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- Ephesians 2:8

You're right, there are some Christians who are legalistic, they judge other Christians by not keeping some of the outward appearances of holiness. As the Bible says, they are fpllowing the letter of the Law instead of the Law itself, and that is controlled more by self righteousness than actual righteousness.{like the Pharisees.}As for them being on the wrong end of things on Judgement Day, Jesus mentioned that too--"On that day many will come on the basis of My name, saying,'Lord, Lord, did we not cast out demons in Your name, and in Your name do many mighy works? And I will say to them,'Depart from me, you workers of inequity, I never knew you".

Preachers, teachers, evangelists and conference speakers and workers should obey Gods word and live a holy and pure life. They are role models to their congregation, to those who hear what they say. Remember this. God is not mocked. Whatever you sow you shall also reap.

The gift of God is for us to be saved and then obey Jesus words. Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men. Do what Jesus told us to do, do not just hear or read it.

Thank you sis for this post. When I was just reborn Christian , God allowed me to be hospitalised to grow my faith in Him. I was in the hospital, and was so weak after my surgery I was not able to talk or move, that time one preacher came to visit me, he said Muani pray for me as I am going to preach the msg of God. ..I couldnt reply him back but I prayed silently after he left my ward .All of a sudden I was blessed with the verses from Eph 2:8
I realised that I was so sick seriously yet I was blessed spiritually, I was not able to do physically or to please God to earn my salvation
but through faith and by His grace only I was saved. Yes this is the gift of God
I thanked and glorified His Name for keeping me in the hospital. Till now and forever I glorify His Name
