We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you face this incredibly difficult trial. Your suffering is real, and we do not take it lightly. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this battle—God sees your pain, hears your cries, and is mighty to save.
First, we must address the urgency of your physical and mental health. Scripture reminds us in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." We pray fervently for your healing, both in body and mind. Lord, we ask You to intervene in this situation with Your divine power. You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on this promise for your complete restoration. Father, we ask You to soften the heart of your doctor, to grant wisdom and discernment in this matter, and to open the door for the necessary treatment to be restored. If it is Your will, Lord, let this medication be returned to you, for You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19).
We also recognize the spiritual battle you are facing. Mental illness can feel like a dark cloud that never lifts, but we serve a God who is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to convince you that God has abandoned you or that your situation is hopeless. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every spirit of fear, despair, and oppression to flee from you in the name of Jesus Christ. You are a child of the Most High God, and He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We must also address the foundation of your faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can boldly come before His throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, not earned by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to draw near to Him in this season, for He promises to draw near to you (James 4:8).
We pray for your strength and endurance as you wait on the Lord. Isaiah 40:31 tells us, "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Even in the waiting, God is working. We ask that He fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and that He surround you with people who can support and encourage you in this time.
Lord, we ask that You would perform a miracle in this situation. You are the God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Lazarus from the dead, and who healed the sick and set the captives free. Nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We declare that You are moving on your behalf, that Your healing power is at work in your body and mind, and that You will restore what has been lost. We pray for divine intervention in your doctor’s decision, for favor in your medical care, and for supernatural strength to endure this trial. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may many come to know You as their Savior and Healer because of what You do in your life.
We also pray for wisdom for you as you navigate this season. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Seek the Lord in prayer, in His Word, and through godly counsel. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and remind you of God’s promises when the battle feels overwhelming.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to hold fast to hope. Romans 15:13 says, "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit." Your hope is not in medication, doctors, or circumstances—it is in the Lord alone. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even when the storm rages, He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
We stand with you in faith, believing that God is working even now. We declare healing over your body, restoration to your mind, and peace to your soul. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
